Automatic Data Processing said it entered credit agreements totalling about $8 billion with a group of lenders.

The payroll processor said it entered into a $4.55 billion agreement for about a year in duration and a $2.5 billion agreement over a five-year period, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

ADP said the five-year agreement contains a feature in which the aggregate commitment can be increased by $500 million to an aggregate principal amount of $3 billion.

The two agreements replace prior facilities entered in the last two years.
