Cigna : Healthcare Names Paul Virtell to Lead Supplemental Health Business

BLOOMFIELD, Conn., - February 20, 2025 - Cigna Healthcare has named longtime benefits industry leader Paul Virtell as president of its Supplemental Health business. In this role, Paul will be responsible for the overall strategy, daily operations, and growth of the supplemental health business, which is focused on helping customers pay for out-of-pocket expenses when a serious illness or accident occurs.

Paul brings over 25 years of product and leadership experience, most recently serving as vice president and chief product owner at Prudential Financial. During his tenure, he led Prudential's launch of supplemental health products, which included the implementation of process and technology solutions across operations, billing, and claims. He also successfully led transformation initiatives that enhanced customer experiences and drove operational excellence.
