Southwest Airlines announces partnership with Siete Foods, a Texas-born, Mexican-American food brand, to expand snack options available for its Extra Leg Room (ELR) Customers and the collaboration debuts with Siete Mini Grain Free Mexican Wedding Cookies.
The new partnership follows extensive Customer research and testing and after sampling more than 200 snack options, Customers selected Siete's Mexican Wedding Cookies as their favorite. The addition reflects Southwest's continued focus on evolving the onboard Customer Experience and this new snack choice from Siete offers better-for-you ingredients as a grain-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free option.
To celebrate the collaboration, Siete hosted a Backyard Asada in Austin, Texas, bringing together community members to honor shared culture, connection, and food.
'We continue to evolve our offerings with elevated options and we are proud to welcome Siete into our snack lineup for Extra Leg Room Customers,' said Lisa Hingson, Vice President of Customer Experience and Innovation at Southwest Airlines. 'Siete shares our Texas roots and passion for Hospitality, and we look forward to sharing their high-quality, thoughtful snacks with our Customers when they fly.'
What's Ahead
On April 21, Customers traveling in Extra Leg Room (ELR) seats on select flights will be among the first to enjoy Siete Mini Grain Free Mexican Wedding Cookies onboard. The gluten-free, dairy-free treat is crafted with almond flour, pecans, powdered sugar, and cinnamon.
After a special one-day preview, the cookies will make their official debut on Southwest's birthday. Beginning Thursday, June 18, Siete Mexican Wedding Cookies will officially join the onboard snack family for ELR Customers, featuring Southwest's first-ever co-branded snack packaging.
