BOSTON (AP) _ Brookline Bancorp Inc. (BRKL) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $28.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Boston-based company said it had net income of 37 cents.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $87.6 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $82.2 million.

Brookline shares have risen 3.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $16.76, a rise of 29% in the last 12 months.
