Today, DoorDash for Business announced new offerings that make feeding workplace teams easier and more reliable. With Meal Manager for daily team lunches - where employees choose their own meals, delivered together and on time - and tray-style catering for meetings and events, DoorDash for Business provides a single platform to power every workplace meal.
Large, team-sized orders grew 30% faster than regular ordering year-over-year, highlighting how employers are increasingly using food to support and encourage in-person collaboration, making high-quality meal programs essential for attracting talent and building office culture. However, for the workplace admins, coordinating team meals across shifting schedules and dietary needs can be time-consuming, with many meal organizers citing meals as one of their main pain points.
"There's something about a great meal that gets people off their screens and actually talking to each other,"said Katie Egan, General Manager of DoorDash for Business. "As companies double down on bringing people back together, food has become one of the most powerful drivers of connection in the office. We built Meal Manager and catering to make in-person connections happen as often as possible - without making it an admin's full-time job."
Meal Manager: Recurring Office Meals on Autopilot
Meal Manager is a new solution built specifically for companies that provide recurring, in-office meals - making it easy to feed teams on a regular basis without manual coordination. It gives workplace teams a hands-off experience, while allowing employees the flexibility to choose the meals they want.
Meal Manager takes the work out of daily office meals by automatically building a weekly schedule with a curated selection of local restaurants. Workplace organizers can customize restaurant selection, and employees are prompted to place their individual orders in advance - reducing missed orders and late deliveries. DoorDash for Business handles the logistics behind the scenes and ensures timeliness, professional labeling and onsite support when needed.
"Our team loves Meal Manager - the range of options keeps everyone happy and makes it easy to accommodate different preferences," saidKendra Stahl, Executive Assistant to the CEO at Klarity. "What really stood out most is the DoorDash team. They're incredibly responsive, proactive, and truly committed to making sure everything runs smoothly."
Catering for Meetings and Events
In addition to feeding groups on a daily or recurring basis, DoorDash for Business is also launching traditional tray-style catering for meetings and events. Currently available in San Francisco and New York through the DoorDash app - with expansion planned for additional markets - catering connects workplace admins with top local restaurants and trusted national brands, with menus specifically curated for large group orders. Every order is managed by dedicated catering specialists who ensure meals arrive accurately and on time, backed by an on-time delivery guarantee. Businesses can plan ahead with ease by scheduling orders up to 14 days in advance, and for complex or high-visibility events, optional on-site coordination is available to make sure everything runs smoothly from setup to cleanup.
"Before DoorDash for Business, I was spending nearly a full day each week sourcing restaurants, coordinating with caterers, and confirming availability and dietary needs," saidAmy Macrae, Manager, Workplace Experience and Operations at Golden State . "Now, it takes just a few minutes every couple of days to review and approve orders. It has been wonderful."
One Platform for Every Group Meal
Together, Meal Manager and catering provide a complete solution for feeding teams - from one-time events, to recurring meal programs - with the flexibility to support any gathering. By bringing these offerings together in one platform, DoorDash for Business makes it easier to plan, order, and manage meals for any group, with greater flexibility and reliability.
Meal Manager and catering are live in select US markets, with continued expansion planned in the future. To learn more, visit the DoorDash for Business website.
