Siemens Healthineers second-quarter revenue misses consensus
(Alliance News) - Healthcare services company Siemens Healthineers AG said on Tuesday reported a second-quarter profit jump.
Net income in the quarter ended March 31 jumped to EUR431 million from EUR108 million. Second quarter revenue was EUR5.43 billion compared to EUR5.35 billion in the previous year. Revenue was shy of the Vara Research cited consensus of EUR5.48 billion.
Comparable revenue growth was 3.0%, for the quarter. For the full-year, the company continues to expect comparable revenue growth of between 4.5% and 6.5%.
Adjusted basic earnings per share was EUR0.55 compared to EUR0.49.
Excluding revenue from rapid coronavirus antigen tests, this corresponds to comparable revenue growth of between 5.0% and 7.0%. The expectation for adjusted basic earnings per share remains unchanged at between EUR2.10 and EUR2.30.
Shares in the company fell 4.0% to EUR50.38 each in Frankfurt on Tuesday morning.
