(Alliance News) - Hera Spa announced on Wednesday that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of Aliplast Spa, taking over the remaining 20% stake from Rogroup Srl.

The transaction concludes the acquisition process that began in 2017, when Hera acquired an initial 40% stake in January and a further 40% in December. Aliplast, based in Ospedaletto d'Istrana, in the province of Treviso, is active in the field of plastic regeneration.

Since joining the Hera group, Aliplast has grown in the premium segments of the recycled plastics market, such as food and cosmetics. In 2024, turnover reached EUR 150 million, with an annual production of 100,000 tons of recycled plastic, including PET and LDPE flakes and granules, PET sheets, LDPE films, and PP and HDPE flakes.

By the end of the year, a new innovative plant for HDPE recovery will be operational in Modena, while the Borgolavezzaro plant in the province of Novara is also being expanded to increase LDPE production capacity.

The company reports that the transaction will have no impact on its financial position.

Hera is down 1.5% to EUR4.03 per share.
