Walmart says it is planning 650 remodels to its stores as part of an investment to make shopping faster and more convenient.
The retail giant said it will add wider aisles and updated layouts, expanded assortments, more pickup and delivery services, updated vision centers and pharmacies with private consultation rooms, modern signs, and improved parking and landscaping.
Some of Walmart's stores will receive expanded deli and hot-bar selections, improved lighting and fixtures, pharmacy-delivery options and upgraded areas for fulfilling online grocery orders, the company said.
Walmart also said it has 20 new store openings scheduled in 2026 and 2027.
