Autodesk Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Rebecca Pearce, for US$334k worth of shares, at about US$208 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to take some cash off the table, even below the current price of US$224. We generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they did so below the current price, because it implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. Please do note, however, that sellers may have a variety of reasons for selling, so we don't know for sure what they think of the stock price. We note that the biggest single sale was 100% of Rebecca Pearce's holding. Rebecca Pearce was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.

Rebecca Pearce divested 2.76k shares over the last 12 months at an average price of US$207. Insider Ownership

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. Autodesk insiders own about US$52m worth of shares. That equates to 0.1% of the company. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
