Electronic Arts Inc. and EA SPORTS announced the worldwide launch of EA SPORTS?? College Football 26 on PlayStation®?5 and Xbox Series X|S, delivering their most immersive and authentic college football experience to date. Building on the momentum of last year's return, College Football 26 invites players to Bring Glory Home through deeper gameplay, expanded modes, and a powerful celebration of the sport's most iconic traditions.
Gameday under the lights. College Football 26 captures the traditions, authenticity, and electric atmospheres that define Saturday night. Delivering deeper gameplay and greater control with over 2,800 new plays, thousands of current athletes, and more than 300 real coaches with authentic schemes - players can forge their legacy in two expanded modes.
Journey to Greatness: Two iconic modes offer distinct paths to excellence. In Road to Glory, step into the life of a student-athlete-- begin in high school, earn scholarship, and make pivotal choices around playing time, academics, NIL, and the transfer portal as rise to Heisman glory. In Dynasty, take control as head coach--build staff, recruit based on scheme and location, and lead program through the ever-evolving landscape of college football.
Whether you're chasing personal accolades in College Football Ultimate Team or building a championship legacy in Road to the College Football Playoff, every path is unique on the road to forging legacy. This year, College Football 26 expands its musical lineup through a new partnership with Metallica. As winners of the 2023 Metallica Marching Band Competition, the Auburn University Marching Band recorded a new version of the EA SPORTS College Football theme.
The game also features over 60 newly recorded tracks, including fightongs, rousers, and stadium anthems like "Enter Sandman," Mr. Brightside," and "Seven Nation Army" to elevate the game day experience. In addition, EA SPORTS?? and Spotify have partnered to launch The Showdown--a six-part livestream series blending gaming and music with top athletes and creators.
The series debuted Monday, July 7, and featured Jacksonville Jacksonville wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter, College Football 26 cover star and Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams, and EA SPORTS creator MMG. New episodes will roll out throughout the fall.
