Liberty Networks extended its network coverage with the activation of two new regional Points-of-Presence (PoPs) in Mexico and an enhanced PoP in Peru. The new and enhanced PoPs, located in Campeche and Chetumal, Mexico, and Lima, Peru, support the company's regional growth strategy and strengthen connectivity across Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula and South America. The Points-of-Presence will provide a suite of solutions, including high-speed IP Transit, DDoS Protection, MPLS, and Ethernet services to local enterprises, carriers, and government institutions, enabling them to scale operations, enhance performance, and connect seamlessly with global networks.

With these additions, Liberty Networks will reach 96 wholesale PoPs across Latin America and the Caribbean. The company's operations form the backbone of regional connectivity, spanning over 30 countries with nearly 50,000 kilometers of submarine fiber optic cable and 17,000 kilometers of terrestrial networks. This strategic expansion enhances the customer experience by positioning key network nodes closer to businesses, boosting reliability and performance for mission-critical operations, and enabling faster data transfer for a seamless user experience.

This latest expansion follows the activation of PoPs in Merida, Mexico, and Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, last year, and forms part of the company's $250 million five-year investment plan announced in 2023. The plan focuses on strengthening Liberty Networks' digital backbone, particularly in regions where rapid growth in data consumption is reshaping business and societal needs.
