AGUIA RESOURCES : UPDATE ON DEFENCE AND EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF LEGAL PROCEEDINGS

Sydney - Aguia Resources Limited ABN 94 128 256 888 (ASX: AGR) ('Aguia' or the 'Company') has today provided the market with an English translation of the defence filed on 18August 2021 in the civil public action ('PCA') filed by the Federal Public Prosecutor ('FPP') against Aguia and the State Environmental Protection Agency ('FEPAM') regarding the Environmental Impact Assessment ('EIA') for the Tres Estradas Phosphate Project ('TEPP').

The full defence in both Englishand Portuguese is available overleaf. The case is based on disputed facts, rather than on questions of law. The defence, of which an executive summary is provided below, addresses all the technical issues of fact. To defend the PCA and potential appeal, Aguia has budgeted approximately R$405,000 (A$108,000) for legal expenses.
