Bloomsbury Publishing : Cristina Cappelluto appointed as Managing Director for Bloomsbury Australia

Bloomsbury, today announce that Cristina Cappelluto is joining as Managing Director of Bloomsbury's Australian operation. The role, based in Sydney, covers all divisions' of the organisation and reports to Kathleen Farrar, Managing Director - Group Sales and Marketing. Cappelluto will join on the 1st of March 2022.

Cristina Cappelluto said: I've always admired Bloomsbury's ability to discover important new literary voices and nurture them to critical and commercial success. It's what makes Bloomsbury one of the most influential publishers in the world and I'm obviously thrilled to be joining the team and very excited about the opportunities for growth that lie ahead.

Cappelluto has spent over two decades at Harper Collins Australia in a variety of roles, most recently as Publishing Director of Harper Collins Children's Books. Prior to this, her experience included marketing roles across a number of different genres, from non-fiction to science-fiction and fantasy, health and well-being to literature. Over the course of her career, Cristina has led the ANZ sales and marketing strategies for contemporary Australian and international authors including David Walliams, Matt Stanton, Donna Hay and Veronica Roth, whilst also preserving the value and integrity of classic publishing brands such as Dr. Seuss, The Chronicles of Narnia and Paddington.
