UniCredit responds to government on golden power, future of Banco Bpm OPS unclear

This is what the bank said in a statement regarding the measure received on Friday from the Prime Minister's Office, which imposed restrictions on the offer for Banco Bpm.

"The requirements imposed on UniCredit could damage its full freedom and ability to make decisions in accordance with the principles of sound and prudent management in the future, and even lead to unintended results (such as the imposition of sanctions on UniCredit due to alleged non-compliance with any of the requirements)," the bank said.
