ChangeX, in collaboration with ServiceNow, the AI control tower for business reinvention, is launching a new call for applications for the ServiceNow Community Improvement Fund, continuing their shared commitment to supporting community-led projects that address climate challenges. For this latest edition of the fund, funding is available in four countries, including the UK.
Now in its fourth year, the sustainability-focused collaboration aims to deepen impact in participating regions, building on the success of previous funding rounds that have already supported more than 80 community projects across 11 countries.
Together, ChangeX and ServiceNow are committed to enabling communities to take meaningful local action to tackle climate challenges. Since launching in 2023 with a pilot fund, the collaboration has seen a total investment by ServiceNow of more than $2 million, positively impacting more than 70,000 people so far.
The 2026 ServiceNow Community Improvement Fund will provide funding for non-profits and schools across the UK to start or expand water, solar, or nature-based community projects. Applicants can submit their own project for funding, with up to £25,000 available, or apply for support to bring one of three proven, high-impact climate ideas to their community.
The proven ideas on offer through the fund are:
* Ecosystem Restoration Communities (ERC), a programme focused on 'regreening' the planet by rebuilding soil, fixing water systems, and increasing local biodiversity on degraded land,
* Precious Plastic, an initiative designed to reduce plastic waste by encouraging communities to recycle plastic and turn plastic waste into valuable products,
* Youth-Led Solar, a project that sees teenagers plan, fund and implement a real photovoltaic installation in their community.
"At ServiceNow, we are committed to making the world work better for everyone. Through the ServiceNow Community Improvement Fund, we proudly invest in organisations that prioritise sustainable infrastructure, such as water or solar, and nature-based solutions within our local communities, thereby advancing us towards a more sustainable future," said Lyndsay Harris-Kyei, vice president of global impact and sustainability at ServiceNow.
"ChangeX is proud to continue our collaboration with ServiceNow in our shared mission to empower communities to tackle climate change. We've seen firsthand how local action can drive meaningful, lasting impact. Through this renewed commitment, we're enabling even more local changemakers to build on that momentum and provide solutions to climate challenges," said Paul O'Hara, chief executive at ChangeX.Creation Mill, a social enterprise in Langholm in Scotland, received funding for a project to use wool to restore Tarras Valley's peatland. "This project is changing the perception of wool as a 'bi-product'. We are using a resource that is local to our community, completely natural and something that would have gone to waste, in a productive way. Using it instead of the normal plastic lining materials is much better for the environment we are trying to restore," said Emma Duncan, founder of Creation Mill.
ChangeX is now accepting applications from schools and non-profit organisations across the UK. The application deadline is June 19. For more information and to apply, please visit the fund page: https://www.changex.org/funds/servicenow-uk
