After launching its first 5G-enabled smartphone series and over-ear headphones in 2020, Apple is expected to unveil more new products this year. The Cupertino-based tech company typically unveils products in two phases - laptops and iPad models in March and iPhone and Watch models in September. Of course, last year was an exception due to the unexpected COVID-times. However, as the pandemic-related restrictions continue to lift off in several countries, Apple may at least bring four products in the first half of 2021 as production starts to resume at several of its manufacturing plants., 1. iPad ProA report from DigiTimes in December 2020 had claimed that Apple would bring its first 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Mini-LED display in the first quarter of 2020. The mini-LED display tech is said to offer several improvements over the current iPad displays, including darker blacks, better contrast, and rich colours. Although it uses it an LED display panel, the Mini-LED display tech is said to offer similar depth as an OLED display. Apple may also add 5G support to the next-gen iPad Pro models., 2. AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro 2Apple has been rumoured to be working on AirPods 3 for a very long time. Notable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had said in November 2020 that AirPods 3 would feature the same system-on-chip system as the one on AirPods Pro. However, the AirPods 3 TWS earbuds are also expected to be more affordable and may lack high-end features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Apple will likely improve the battery system without ANC support. On the other hand, the AirPods Pro 2 could come with a shorter stem and offer a better battery life., 3. Apple AirTagsApple is also reported to unveil its long-awaited Bluetooth-based AirTags item tracker. The Apple AirTags will enable users to locate their belongings like keys, wallet, and backpacks in case of misplacement - similar to the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag. Previous reports suggest that the Bluetooth-based item tracker is manageable through Apple's Find My app., 4. Apple TV and M1 MacsApple may also refresh its Apple TV as the company continues to improve its subscription-based models. Apple has been expanding the Apple TV Plus catalogue and also launched the Fitness Plus platform. Notably, M1 silicon chip by Apple may reach more Mac devices such as the 14-inch MacBook Pro. Apple is also rumoured to bring a MacBook Pro model with a mini-LED display.
