Nike Appoints New General Counsel

Nike Inc. appointed Wednesday a new executive vice president and general counsel, effective Feb. 17.

The athletic company named Ann Miller, who has been with the business since 2007, as executive vice president and general counsel. Ms. Miller's appointment comes ahead of the retirement of Hilary Krane, who served as chief administrative officer, executive vice president and general counsel.

For the last six years, Ms. Miller has served as Nike's vice president, corporate secretary and chief ethics and compliance officer. Prior to that, she oversaw all legal work for the company's North America geography and served as vice president and general counsel for Converse. Before joining Nike, she worked as a corporate lawyer for Paul Hastings and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Ms. Miller has over two decades of legal experience.

Ms. Krane has been with Nike since 2010.
