Guaranty Bank is pleased to announce that JP Phillips has been recently named the retail banking officer for its 2435 Fairlawn Dr. location in Carthage, while Cynthia Olmstead will lead the bank's 1936 Range Line Rd. location in Joplin.

Phillips began his banking career in 2008 with Great Southern Bank in Springfield and joined U.S. Bank in Joplin as a teller in 2009. In 2010 he was named assistant branch manager with Arvest Bank in Neosho before being named branch manager of Hometown Bank's Neosho and Pineville, Mo. locations. He joined Guaranty as a retail banking officer with its acquisition of Hometown Bank in 2018, helping to open the bank's Range Line Road facility and eventually managing both Range Line and the bank's 3016 McClelland Blvd., Joplin, location.

Olmstead, who will succeed Phillips at the Range Line Banking Center, joined Guaranty in 2019 as retail banking officer at the McClelland Banking Center and was named the retail banking officer of both McClelland and the bank's 1429 E. 32nd St. location in Joplin in 2020. She has more than a decade of banking experience including personal banking, lending, and management. Before joining Guaranty, Olmstead was a trust associate with U.S. Bank Wealth Management in Joplin.

"We are very excited for both JP and Cynthia to take on these new leadership opportunities for Guaranty," said Becky Purinton, retail banking group manager. "Both of them have proven track records of success as retail banking officers and will look to continue to cultivate new and existing customer relationships while delivering world-class customer service."
