Ferrovial has been recognized as the leader in sustainability in the Construction and Engineering sector, according to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index. In addition, the company has been recognized as the most sustainable in Europe within its sector for the third consecutive year. This index, compiled annually by S&P Global, is considered an international standard for sustainability and is the most prestigious in the world in this field.

"For Ferrovial, being recognized as a worldwide leader in sustainability within our sector reflects our expertise in infrastructure, focused on delivering projects that generate a positive long-term impact for society, the environment, and the economy. We believe sustainability creates value for our business, our stakeholders, and the communities in which we operate. Our inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class for 24 consecutive years and our leadership on a global scale highlights our team's unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence," says Ignacio Madridejos, CEO of Ferrovial.

Ferrovial's recognition comes after an exhaustive analysis of its performance across key environmental, social, and economic aspects. S&P Global specifically highlighted the strength of the company's governance and risk management, as well as accurate identification and monitoring of emerging risks. Moreover, it also commended the effective application of its code of conduct and the ethics and compliance framework, supported by policies, training, and internal control mechanisms. Finally, S&P Global recognized the company´s strong commitment to promoting and defending human rights.

In addition to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index, Ferrovial is included in leading sustainability indices such as MSCI, Morningstar Sustainalytics, FTSE4Good, CDP, ISS ESG, and Euronext ESG, which highlight the company's best practices in this area. In line with this commitment, the company continues to advance its 2030 Sustainability Strategy, focusing on three key areas: environment, people, and governance, all aimed at generating a positive and lasting impact.

The Dow Jones Best-in-Class (DJ BIC) indices, created in 1999 and managed by S&P Dow Jones Indices, serve as a global benchmark for recognizing companies that excel in sustainability performance. These indices identify the top-performing companies in each sector based on environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) criteria.
