An Arkansas woman won $200,000 from a scratch-off lottery ticket she received as a birthday gift from her son.

G. Smith of Malvern told Arkansas Scholarship Lottery officials her son, a frequent lottery player, likes to give tickets as gifts to friends and family members.

The son bought a $10 Triple Red 777 scratch-off ticket from Murphy USA on Harrison Street in Batesville and gave it to Smith for her birthday.

"He's a good son," Smith said. "He always takes care of me."

The ticket turned out to be a $200,000 winner.

"I never dreamed it would be a big winner," Smith's son said.

Smith said she plans to share her winnings with her family.
