MSCI ESG Ratings is a sustainability rating managed by MSCI Inc. to measure and analyze how well a company manages environment, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. Companies are classified into seven scales from the top rank "AAA" to "CCC." The MSCI ESG Ratings is recognized as a well-known ESG rating index worldwide.

Also, Daicel Corporation has been selected as a constituent of all ESG indices adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF). The six selected indices are as follows; "MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index", "MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)", "FTSE Blossom Japan Index", "FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index", "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index", "Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index ("GenDi J")."
