Lockheed Martin received a contract for up to $1.9 billion from the Department of Defense to continue providing aircrew and maintenance training devices and services for military aircraft.
The defense contractor received a 10-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to continue the C-130J Maintenance and Aircrew Training System program, it said Tuesday.
The program focuses on aircrew and maintenance for Lockheed's C-130J military aircraft. The new contract expands aircrew support to the U.S. Navy Reserve and the U.S. Coast Guard.
"This contract award continues the nearly 30-year C-130J franchise and reflects the strong relationship and collaboration between the U.S. government, Lockheed Martin and our industry partners," said Todd Morar, Lockheed Martin's vice president of air and commercial solutions.
