SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Energous Corp. (WATT) on Wednesday reported a loss of $1.7 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 43 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 41 cents per share.

The maker of wire-free charging technology posted revenue of $3.1 million in the period.
