Boeing delivered 46 airplanes in March, bringing its first-quarter delivery total ahead of last year's count.
The aerospace and defense company on Tuesday said the figure brings its total first-quarter deliveries to 143 airplanes, up from the 130 it reported in the same period last year.
Boeing last month delivered 34 of their 737s to buyers including United Airlines, Southwest Airlines and American Airlines. It also delivered seven 787 jets to buyers including United and Lufthansa.
The company booked 33 gross orders during the period, including 25 of the 737s and eight 787 Dreamliners. Net orders through the first quarter came in at 140.
