NEW YORK (AP) — NEW YORK (AP) — The Madison Square Garden Co. (MSGS) on Friday reported a loss of $14.2 million in its fiscal third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 59 cents.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.48 per share.

The sports team and entertainment company posted revenue of $424.2 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $427.5 million.
