Amazon: Q2 EPS up a third

On Thursday evening, Amazon unveiled its Q2 2025 results, with EPS up a third to $1.68, well above analysts' average estimate, while operating profit rose 31% to $19.2bn.The tech giant's revenue rose 13% to $167.7bn (+12% excluding currency effects), driven by both online commerce (+11% in North America, +16% internationally) and Amazon Web Services (+17.5%).Our progress in artificial intelligence across all areas continues to improve the customer experience, speed of innovation, operational efficiency, and growth of the business, CEO Andy Jassy said.For Q3 2025, Amazon expects operating income of between $15.5bn and $20.5bn, compared with $17.4bn a year earlier, and revenue of between $174bn and $179.5bn, up 10% to 13%.
