OpenAI investors question $852 billion valuation as strategy shifts, FT reports

April 14 (Reuters) - OpenAI's $852 billion valuation is under scrutiny from its own backers as the group switches focus to the enterprise market and tackling competition from Anthropic, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.

Some OpenAI investors told the FT the changes could leave it vulnerable to Anthropic and a resurgent Google, while preparing for an initial public offering as early as this year.

Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
