Nourishing Neighbors in Need

In 2021, DG announced an operational partnership with Feeding America to address national food insecurity currently affecting over 44 million Americans. As of September 2024, DG has donated more than $4 million and the equivalent of more than 37 million meals through in-kind donations. Today, DG serves one-third of the nation’s counties through the partnership, donating essential food items to neighbors in need across 38 states through its stores and distribution centers, not just during the holidays, but all year long.
