Pfizer: deepened collaboration with XtalPi in AI

On Monday XtalPi announced the expansion of its collaboration with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, with the aim of combining advanced physical modeling methods with the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize small molecule discovery.Already partners for several years, the two companies now intend to develop an enhanced platform capable of better exploring Pfizer's growing chemical portfolio.They aim to create more accurate and faster predictive tools to facilitate the identification of promising drug candidates.In a joint publication in 2024, XtalPi and Pfizer presented the results of their first generation of the XtalPi Force Field (XFF) model, capable of accurately predicting the geometry of small molecules at the quantum mechanical level.The model also demonstrated reliable performance in calculating binding affinity using the free energy perturbation (FEP) method.Copyright (c) 2025 CercleFinance.com.
