Baker Hughes: sells PSI division to Crane for $1.15bn

Baker Hughes announces that an agreement has been reached to sell its Precision Sensors & Instrumentation (PSI) division to Crane Company for a total cash consideration of about $1.15bn. The PSI division, part of Baker Hughes' Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segment, includes the Druck, Panametrics and Reuter-Stokes brands, which specialize in pressure, flow, gas, humidity and radiation sensing and analysis technologies.The transaction includes all of PSI's assets, including intellectual property, manufacturing facilities and resources, as well as approximately 1,600 employees worldwide. This divestiture is part of Baker Hughes' strategy to optimize its business portfolio to enhance profitability and reallocate capital to higher-return opportunities.The transaction is expected to close in late 2025 or early 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
