MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) — MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) — HNI Corp. (HNI) on Wednesday reported a loss of $38.8 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Muscatine, Iowa-based company said it had a loss of 55 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 34 cents per share.

The maker of office furniture and fireplaces posted revenue of $1.35 billion in the period.
