Summer Tour 2025: Editors on tour with Mazzotti field sprayer

The self-propelled sprayer is of Italian manufacture and will be brought to the Netherlands by importer Hogervorst of Noordwijkerhout (ZH.). The sprayer is equipped with 128.6 kW (175 hp) strong John Deere Powertech engine, has a 36-meter boom and will be fitted with BKT Agrimax V-Flecto tires (650/65R38) for the Summer Tour. The 4,000-liter waist tank has been removed from the vehicle and given way to a rooftop tent. In this tent the editors will spend the nights.

After eight editions of the Zomertour, this is the first time that editors Jasper Lentz and Chris Vlaanderen will go on a road trip with a sprayer. Previously, the Zomertour was driven by a tractor from JCB, Fendt, Claas, New Holland, John Deere, Steyr, Massey Ferguson and Deutz-Fahr.

Collecting stories

The LandbouwMechanisatie Summer Tour starts Monday morning, June 2, and ends Saturday, June 7. The route the editors will take will be announced next week. During the six-day tour, the editors will visit arable farmers, contractors, machine manufacturers, importers and dealers. The goal: collect as many fun and special stories as possible for the summer issue of the magazine LandbouwMechanisatie.
