AON
DUBLIN - 20 Nov. 2024 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today opened its new office at Fifteen George's Quay in Dublin. The 30,000-square-foot space brings together Aon's 587 Dublin-based colleagues in a modern, custom-designed building to enhance collaboration and innovation across its Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities. Greg Case, global CEO of Aon, Rachael Ingle, CEO of Aon Ireland and Jack Chambers, Minister for Finance in Ireland, were on site to officially open the office.
Aon's new space features specially designed workspaces that include custom collaboration zones, break-out spaces and tech-enabled meeting rooms. Other employee-focused facilities include landscaped roof terraces and on-site cafes, providing creative spaces for colleagues to collaborate and socialise. All features were informed by Aon's Smart Working approach, which fosters a collaborative, inclusive and flexible working culture where employee wellbeing is at the core.
Minister for Finance, Jack Chambers, said: "Aon has a considerable legacy of supporting the growth of Irish businesses and has links in Ireland for more than one hundred years. Aon's investment in this new office builds on this commitment and further strengthens the country's position as a leading global business hub. As firms around the country navigate evolving risks, it is important they have access to specialist advice and professional services that can enable them to grow and innovate into the future. Aon's decision underscores the fact that Ireland is open for international business, offering a growing insurance environment, a highly skilled workforce, access to international markets and a thriving financial services sector."
CEO of Aon Ireland, Rachael Ingle, said: "Aon is the Irish word for 'one'. By bringing Dublin colleagues under one roof, we're taking an important step forward in strengthening this identity and providing a collaborative workspace where colleagues can thrive and feel valued. In Ireland and around the world, the issues firms are facing around risk and people continue to evolve - from the introduction of landmark pensions reform to growing geopolitical instability. We're better positioned to help our clients navigate this complex landscape in an office space that inspires creativity, collaboration and innovation."
The new space will serve as Aon's corporate offices in Dublin and will include designated space for Aon's Board of Directors as well as Dublin-based Aon colleagues. The office will house Aon's Centre for Innovation and Analytics (ACIA) in Ireland, serving clients globally. Comprised of more than 100 data and technology specialists, the ACIA provides innovative data analytics capabilities that support businesses to embrace innovation in an AI-enabled era.
CEO of Aon, Greg Case, said: "Our new office in Dublin is a symbol of our commitment to the future of Ireland and our continued investments in our clients and our talented colleagues. Aon Ireland can trace its roots over 100 years, and we are proud to continue this important legacy in a new space that will deliver exceptional value and innovation to our clients."
In line with Aon's environmental, social and governance goals, the new office will provide a sustainable workplace at the heart of Dublin's city centre, which has excellent accessibility via its nearby transport links. Sustainable travel to the space is encouraged through its best-in-class end-of-journey facilities, including showers, bicycle spaces and electric vehicle charging points. The building is on track to be accredited as LEED Platinum, a leading international sustainability standard.
