WALLDORF/ORLANDO/BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - Europe's largest software provider, SAP, has acquired a stake in the German software startup n8n. This strategic investment values the young German company at 5.2 billion US dollars, n8n founder and CEO Jan Oberhauser announced on Tuesday. This figure represents more than double the valuation from a financing round approximately one year ago. The Berlin-based firm made the announcement on the sidelines of the SAP Sapphire customer conference in Orlando, Florida. However, neither the startup nor the DAX-listed corporation disclosed the specific investment amount.

Furthermore, SAP intends to offer n8n's technology to its customers within the SAP Artificial Intelligence (AI) product suite. Simultaneously, SAP has launched a 100 million euro fund designed to help SAP partners accelerate the implementation of AI software for their clients.

SAP purchased a portion of the shares from existing shareholders, Oberhauser stated in an interview with Bloomberg News. n8n provides software automation tools that enable customers to build AI agents, among other applications./men/jsl/jha
