On Tuesday Accenture announced that it has acquired Systema, a German company specialising in software and consulting services for industrial automation to support its customers in the semiconductor industry.Based in Dresden, Systema employs over 240 and has recognised expertise in production execution technologies (MES), particularly those based on SAP and Critical Manufacturing."Semiconductor manufacturing is complex and highly specialized," said Christina Raab, Accenture's managing director for Austria, Switzerland, and Germany."Systema's expertise will enable us to expand our capabilities and accelerate our development in this strategic sector," she added.Accenture points out that despite the progress made by the sector, many factory operations remain poorly automated, particularly in Europe.From the outsourcing giant's perspective, the automation of existing equipment is set to become a crucial step in maintaining the region's competitiveness.The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.Copyright (c) 2025 CercleFinance.com.
